• Enhancing the uses on traditional markets
• Finding new ready markets for oilseeds and their products and byproducts
• Adapting food markets to consumer requirements and non-food markets to industrial demands.

Food

• scientific surveillance on the nutitionnal properties of oils
• financial support for nutritionnal studies

Feed

• optimizing the use of meal by ruminants, pigs and poultry
• improvement of meal quality through traditionnal or new crushing processes
• raw material and product quality (milk, meat)
• evaluation of new feeding systems

Processing technologies

• optimizing classical processes and evaluating new processes in order to improve product quality and the energy gain of the trituration process

Food safety

• surveillance on oilseed contaminants, 'from the seed to the plate"
• risk analysis
• cooridnation of the surveillance plan for the sanitary quality of oilseed crops
